Note on Cities

There have been too many stories of romance. They tell us about beautiful, brilliant people doing grand, at times terrible things. The beauty comes out of how rarely we meet people like this in our everyday lives.

I wonder if it is possible for life to be beautiful without being rare — who made us believe it couldn’t be? I often find myself caught up in beautiful fantasies that are destined to never be — especially so if the fantasy continues!

There is something dreary, but beautiful about the metaphors of these storylines that are lost as we consume bit by bit, 10 hour series on our subscription services. AND YET, they are Never, NEVER EVER EVER quite…

ordinary.
